Kilchoman Machir Bay
£55.00
Warm peat smoke, citrus and tropical fruits. The flagship in Kilchoman’s range.
The high proportion of American oak bourbon barrels and use of sherry casks create a distinct balance between rich fruitiness and floral notes with smoky toffee and butterscotch.

A family run business, Kilchoman is a farm distillery and grows an average of 200 tonnes of barley each year. With an 100% Islay philosophy, the whisky is a product of its local environment. This release is named after their favourite Islay beach, fitting with the rugged maritime tones of their award winning single malt.
Sweet vanilla notes and subtle fruitiness from the bourbon casks and the sherried spice and sweetness mellow the smoky and peaty flavours. We find a medium to full body with subtle complexities, layers of peat, oak spices and an oily mouthfeel.
