Port Charlotte 10
The heavily peated Port Charlotte is a rich and aromatic spirit. Elegant, oily and full bodied, powerful peat smoke with Bruichladdich's classic marine character.
Matured in first fill and second fill American oak casks and 25% second fill French wine casks, there is a balance between the smoke, spice and sweetness from the oak.
The Bruichladdich distillery, situated on the Rhinns of Islay on the west of the island, is pushing forward many interesting local changes. They are setting up onsite malting, with a goal of ensuring 100% of the production process is done on Islay. Working alongside local farmers, in recent years their team has been adapting their methods for a more sustainable future; investing in new environmentally friendly practices such as tidal energy, sustainable farming and habitat protection, as well as introducing electric vehicles and improving waste efficiency.
Powerful, oily and coastal. Rich smoke, elegant golden barley, coconut, vanilla and sweet oak. Sweet toffee and fudge balance the deep smoke and fruity tones. Complex, big in character.
